In other news... My mom got in a really bad ski accident on the 6th. The only place she injured was her face, and she doesn't remember a thing. The people who found her where the ones that stand by the "slow" signs and tell everyone to slow down. They alerted the ski patrol and they brought her down, she was unconscious. So here's the damage *takes a deep breath* she broke her upper jaw and it is being held together with 4 titanium plates and 20 screws, she knocked/broke out a bunch of teeth and her mouth is wired partially shut to keep the ones that they did find and put back in place, she cut her upper lip almost off but they stitched it back on, she broke her nose by separating the cartridge from the bone but it's been reattached, she looks like she has two black eyes, and she has a lot of swelling. The weird thing is she wasn't hurt anywhere else, and it happened on an easy blue run and no one saw it happen. She's really PO'd that she can't do any kind of activity for 6 weeks, she was going to test for her probationary first degree black belt and she'd been working so hard, now she'll have to wait until October when the next one is and when she'll be fully recovered. We were also going to do some road trips and hiking over the summer, but not anymore. Kind of makes you realize how fragile life can be. She said to me that she could have died, and I think yeah, you could have, but you can die any day, in a car wreck, falling down your stairs, or skiing... It's not going to stop me, or her for that matter, only lack of easily accessible snow will do that.
In lighter news, we're still going to Starfest, and I'm going to try like mad to make a jedi costume, but if that fails I'll go as a pirate, it'll be cool either way.
In less happy news, I have to write an outline for an 8min persuasive speech and do take home test for Tues. In happier news I have no more Monday classes (I'll have to do my home work then).
